with Art Theory

TUES 18 | 4:30Pm – 5:30PM

Meet Lisa Reeves (Art Theory), the Fremantle-based art consultant behind the FOMO Freo public artworks, for a walking tour through the collection. Lisa will share insights into the artworks, artists & curation, and discuss how her process brings together art and design to create connections with public space.

Included in the permanent collection are local, national and international artists Tim Meakins, Peter Drew, Peche, Jack Brommel, Harley Richards and Morag Myerscough.

This event is outdoors and in a relaxed ‘walk and talk’ format, with plenty of opportunities for questions along the way.

Walking is along level paths with good accessibility throughout. All ages are welcome.

Meeting point: Fremantle Visitor Centre – Walyalup Koort, Fremantle.

For questions about this event please contact the organiser.

Art Theory specialises in the bringing together of two worlds — art and projects — in meaningful ways. Art Theory is headed by art consultant and interior designer Lisa Reeves.

Art and design have always conjoined in Lisa’s life. The propensity for the arts began early, and the pursuit followed her through her formative and tertiary education.

After travelling Europe, she pivoted into interior design, working at a number of studios both in Perth and internationally, before moving to Melbourne.

In Melbourne, Lisa returned to the arts, managing Dianne Tanzer Gallery (now known as This Is No Fantasy) where she assisted in representing highly regarded contemporary Australian artists including Yhonnie Scarce, Reko Rennie, Juan Ford, Victoria Reichelt & Natasha Bieniek.

Upon returning to Perth, Lisa and Evan Reeves started Design Theory in 2013, and in time this was followed by Art Theory, with the two now sharing a Fremantle studio.
